Founded by Aimee Ellen O\u2019Keeffe, former Performance Nutritionist for Manchester United Women, the FFNN app has gained support from professional players, including Kirsty Hanson, Martha Harris, and Millie Turner, who have praised the initiative as vital for female athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since launching an Instagram page over the summer, FFNN has attracted a following of over 1,300 users even before the app\u2019s official release, with O\u2019Keeffe and her team sharing nutrition advice tailored to the demands of women\u2019s football. O\u2019Keeffe, who has seen the impact of specialised nutrition support firsthand, hopes the new platform will give more female athletes access to the tools and education they need. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have pro players backing what we\u2019re doing. It\u2019s all about giving girls and women the chance to fuel themselves properly for the game they love,\u201d said O\u2019Keeffe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O\u2019Keeffe\u2019s experience working with elite footballers is evident in FFNN\u2019s tailored approach. Kirsty Hanson, Aston Villa and Scotland midfielder, highlighted the difference O\u2019Keeffe\u2019s nutrition guidance made in her career. \u201cAimee is one of the best nutritionists around \u2013 she gave me tips and recipes to help me fuel in the best way possible so I could perform at my best,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Birmingham City\u2019s Martha Harris, a former England international, echoed Hanson\u2019s praise. Harris worked with O\u2019Keeffe during her time at Manchester United and saw a direct impact on her performance. \u201cHaving that relationship with food and understanding its importance in my training really improved my game,\u201d Harris noted, adding that O\u2019Keeffe remains her go-to nutritionist years later. \u201cIt\u2019s great that others can now benefit from her expertise through this app.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
