Among Tiger\u2019s recent success stories are its partnerships with Zenob\u0113 Energy and Modern Aviation, two companies which have seen significant growth under Tiger\u2019s guidance. In 2017, Tiger\u2019s second investment fund, Fund II, became Zenob\u0113 Energy\u2019s first institutional backer, supporting the company\u2019s expansion in the UK\u2019s battery storage market. Zenob\u0113\u2019s co-founders\u2014Nicholas Beatty, James Basden, and Steven Meersman\u2014co-located with Tiger Infrastructure\u2019s team in London, working side-by-side to develop a portfolio of grid-connected battery storage projects. Over several years, Tiger helped grow Zenob\u0113\u2019s workforce from a team of seven to nearly 300 employees, enabling new projects in sustainable infrastructure, including turnkey solutions for electrifying bus fleets. In 2023, Tiger Infrastructure\u2019s Fund II exited its investment in Zenob\u0113 through a transaction led by KKR Infrastructure, which valued the company at over $1 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, in 2018, Tiger joined forces with Modern Aviation\u2019s co-founders Mark Carmen and Emmanuel Yapo, who operated in close collaboration with Tiger from its New York office. Under the growth-through-acquisition model championed by Tiger, Modern Aviation consolidated 16 fixed-base operator (FBO) locations in the United States, positioning itself as a leading force in the country\u2019s fragmented FBO market. Early in 2024, Fund II fully exited its investment in Modern Aviation through a transaction led by Apollo-managed infrastructure funds.
