The Rooftop Arts Centre<\/a> in Corby, Northamptonshire, is set to host an exciting exhibition titled \u201cSteel Nerve 2,\u201d featuring works by globally acclaimed artists, including the elusive street artist Banksy. The exhibition, in collaboration with Brandler Galleries, will showcase contemporary urban street art alongside an online charity auction, with proceeds supporting the charity\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSteel Nerve 2\u201d will run from 6 to 16 November 2024, culminating in a reception and final bidding session on 16 November from 6pm to 8pm. The exhibition will be open daily from 11am to 4pm, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the diverse range of artwork on display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event features a remarkable line-up of renowned artists, including Blek Le Rat, the Connor Brothers, Copyright, Ben Eine, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, and My Dog Sighs. Attendees will have the opportunity to view a selection of works that will also be available for bidding in a silent auction, which begins on 7 November and runs through the exhibition period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although entry to the exhibition is free, participants in the auction must register and access the auction through eBay. Bidders will find numerous pieces displayed in the gallery that are also viewable online through the Rooftop Arts Centre\u2019s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rooftop Arts Centre, a not-for-profit charity, has been a pivotal part of the Corby community for over 11 years. It aims to foster a strong connection between the community and the arts, offering workshops and exhibitions designed to engage and inspire local residents. The centre also houses 15 resident artists’ studios, providing a platform for local artists to create, exhibit, and connect with the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gallery Director Dinah Kazakoff expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming exhibition, stating, \u201cWe are excited to be presenting Steel Nerve 2, following the success of the first Steel Nerve. We continue to strive to enhance the cultural profile of the town and make the arts accessible to all in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Brandler, of Brandler Galleries, echoed this sentiment, noting, \u201cI am thrilled to be working with Rooftop Arts again on this wonderful art project in Corby. The collection reflects the transformation of what was once considered criminal art into high art. Corby\u2019s artistic development, energised by the Rooftop Arts Centre, is competing with larger venues.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
